According to HDFC Securities, gold rose by Rs 182 to Rs 45,975 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday due to the rise in the prices of the precious metal. The metal had closed at Rs 45,793 per 10 grams in previous trade.
Silver was also seen buying and rose by Rs 725 to Rs 66,175 per kg from the previous closing level of Rs 6525 per kg. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “The 24-carat gold price in Delhi had decreased by Rs 182, with the rise in gold prices of COMEX (New York-based commodity exchange).” In the international market, gold was trading at US $ 1,744 an ounce and silver at $ 25.30 an ounce.
