Water is required by all organisms around the world. With no more than 3% available to humans in the form of fresh water, the need for the conservation of precious natural resources is even greater. We use water for many activities besides drinking, so saving the natural resource is an essential requirement for life on the planet.
Safely managed water is an essential part of protecting human health. In resource-constrained settings, it is very difficult to have elaborate infrastructure in relation to public health and sanitation. Good water and waste management practice, if implemented consistently, can go a long way and can serve as a blessing for homes, communities, health care facilities, schools and other public places.
